Listening to professional recordings of your instrument is one of the most important experiences necessary to become a competent musician.  There are many ways to listen. Daily passive listening fosters intrinsic growth and awareness. Your teacher may also assign active listening assignments as part of practice. Students should listen to quality artists and recordings to enhance musical development and fluency.
